One month old!

Delaney is one month old now. The time has flown by and she is getting bigger and doing new things every day. We had her one month checkup yesterday and she now weighs 9 lbs 11 oz (up from 7 lbs 3 oz at birth) and has grown 2 inches and now measures 21 1/2 inches. The doctor says she is doing great! She is right on the verge of smiling and we will try to catch one on camera soon.
The happy family!

3 weeks old today

The first bath at home. It wasn't her most favorite thing in the world, but she didn't mind her hair getting washed.
Our first walk. Delaney loves the sling and falls right asleep whenever we are out. However, this does not have the same effect in the middle of the night when she does not want to sleep. We tried. It failed miserably.

We love our hands by our face when we sleep.

One week old

Delaney is a little over a week old now and has been home for one week. She had her first doctor's appointment and is doing great. She is already doing new things and is starting to become more alert and aware. We are very sleep deprived but it is worth all of it when she looks at you. We feel so blessed to have her.
Coming home for the first time!

The cats are not too thrilled about the new addition.

This one made us laugh really hard. Maybe it is just the lack of sleep. This was during one of the "pirahna" feeding frenzies.

Delaney Brown McGuire has arrived!

Our little baby girl made her appearance on Wednesday, February 20th at 5:22 in the morning. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. The first contraction hit at 11:17 p.m. on the 19th and she was born 6 hours later. The labor went very fast and she was born without any complications. We are so proud to be new parents!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Dan is finally feeling better and has been back at work for about two weeks now. We are finally settling back into our normal schedule again, but we know that won't last too long. We are getting very excited for the arrival of our little one and can't wait to finally meet her.

Taken today at right around 37 weeks.

Another surgery!?!

Well, we are becoming old pros at this whole surgery thing. Dan went back to work in Jan after his surgery and was doing his run to Colorado with another driver. Well, on the second day of the trip he wound up in the ER in Cheyenne, WY. He had some tests done there which were inconclusive, but all signs pointed to his gallbladder. He ended up having to fly home the following day and got right in with his doctor. They ran some more tests and eventually it did show that his gallbladder was not functioning correctly. So, yesterday we went in again for surgery. It was a little nicer being more prepared for this one, but nothing makes surgery "nice". We love his surgeon and she took very good care of him. He got home from the hospital today and is resting well. Two surgeries in a little over a month...we asked his surgeon if we get a discount for being such a frequent patient. However, the surgeon was able to look around in there and made sure there were no other organs that looked like they had anything wrong and she also looked at everything from the previous surgery and everything is healing nicely. We are hoping that this is the end of the health problems for Dan since we have our little pickle due in six weeks. Hopefully that will be the next time we will see the inside of a hospital. Thank you for all your prayers. We couldn't make it through all this without all of you. We love you!

P.S. - We know we haven't been very good about posting some pictures lately (we've been a little preoccupied), but we will get some new ones up soon!
