2 months

It has been a couple weeks since we posted new pictures, so here they are. We have had a busy couple of weeks. We celebrated our 5th anniversary on the 19th and celebrated with a night out. We had a great dinner at The Lobster Shop on the waterfront. We meant to take a picture of us all dressed up but of course forgot about it until we had both changed into our pajamas. Oh well. Delaney had her 2 month checkup at the doctor and is doing great. She now weighs 11 lbs. 8 oz and has grown to 23 1/4 inches long. She is in the 75th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. She also had to have her first shots. I have never seen her turn that red from screaming before, but the nurse was great and was done quickly with all three shots. She was a trooper and calmed down the minute I picked her back up and was sound asleep by the time we got out to the car. Luckily, we don't have to have anymore for another 2 months.
She has now found her fist and loves sucking on that. She even prefers it over her pacifier most of the time.

A rare big grin caught on camera. She can be smiling away, but the second you bring out the camera she just stares at it.

The Dodger bib is a McGuire family tradition. Here she is being initiated.

Goodness gracious, she is cute.

Playing with a few of her favorite toys.

Playing peek-a-boo.

Here she is living up to her shirt.

Max has finally realized that this little one is not going anywhere, so he is finally warming up to her. He is smart enough though to stay just out of arms reach.

Port Townsend

This last weekend we went to Port Townsend to celebrate our Grandma Bell's (Delaney's great grandma) 85th birthday. The entire Bell family was there and it was a great time at Fort Worden State Park. We went up for the day, but the family was there all weekend. It was a nice day for Delaney's first road trip. She did great, but got a little tired of being in the car by the ride home. It was great to spend some time with family and they enjoyed getting to see Delaney (I think Dan and I take a back seat to her now, and we don't mind one bit). Happy Birthday Grandma!!
This was one of the first nice spring days here this year and Delaney enjoyed her first outdoors walk in her stroller. It was a little chilly down by the water, but it was nice to get outside and enjoy the sun.

Cousin Holly came in from Boston to celebrate Grandma's birthday and was able to meet Delaney for the first time. Laneysa visited Holly in Boston in June the week before we found out we were pregnant. It was so good to spend some time with her and Delaney loved cuddling with her. We miss her already!!!

Poop face and smiles

Ok, so we know that Delaney will probably hate us for this down the road, but we are going to post these pictures anyway. This is Delaney's poop face. There is a very distinct expression that comes over her when she is concentrating. Although she works very hard at it, we can't help but laugh the entire time. Hopefully, she will forgive us for this.

So to make up for the poop face, here are some cute pictures of her smiling. Her grins are getting bigger and bigger and she is starting to laugh at some of her toys now.

Six weeks and smiling

So, Delaney is 6 weeks old today and we now are seeing smiles. They are very hard to catch on camera, but we have come close. She makes a lot more faces now and is staying awake a lot more during the day. She is keeping us on our toes!
