3 months old

Well, it has been a while since we have posted new pictures. Delaney turned 3 months today and we had her doctor's appointment this morning and she is doing great. She is doing all kinds of new things and has really turned into an active little baby. We are able to do more outings and she has even had a couple of playdates now. We are really enjoying being able to interact with her and have her smile and laugh back at us.
She is propping herself up really well now, but she hates being on her tummy so she quickly learned to roll over in order to get out of it.

We have been having some digestion issues lately and the doctor recommended pear juice. So, Delaney was able to try her first flavor besides formula. The reaction was mixed. Now, she enjoys it if it is mixed with water.

We had our first playdate with my friend Jodi and her new little guy, Riley. Delaney is 6 weeks older than Riley and we hope they have a lot of fun growing up together!

Our little drama queen. Actually, Grandma Charlene got these for her and they are still just a little big on her, but we had to try them on anyway.

A tribute to a wonderful woman

It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to our grandma, Ethel Brown, this last Tuesday. She passed away peacefully and painlessly at home with her family around her. She fought a brave battle with breast cancer and was an inspiration to us all. She was one of the kindest and most generous people we have ever met and was always willing to sacrifice for others. You were a part of the family the moment she met you and you were welcomed with open and loving arms. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and with the birth of Delaney, a great grandmother. Grandma and Grandpa were married for 51 years and were a testament and example of a loving marriage and instilled in all of us the importance of family. Although we are
heartbroken that she is no longer with us on earth, we know that she is now in a heavenly paradise and enjoying the rewards of her faithfulness and we rejoice in that fact.

We gave Delaney the middle name of Brown after Grandma and Grandpa and we can only hope and pray that she turns into as strong, kind and generous of a woman as her great grandma. We miss you Grandma and look forward to seeing you again.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
